Karl's space

Glad it’s almost over, but it leaves with some pretty pictures.

Ha. There are no photos. There was no party. I got some bits for my new Dremmel, though, so I am going to go carve something up. Sixty years. Makes one reflect back on those years and the pictures that come to mind. Would I change anything? I think not. What happens is what happens that day. You meet someone, raise your family, get a dog or two and watch them die. Everybody had to have an Atari. Then color TV. Pagers were in for awhile. Dad died at 47. Mom, she was in early 70’s I believe. My sister Karla overdosed on drugs at 36. I was saved at a Church Camp at 33. Been close to God, and sometimes so far away it feels like another Universe: Which is funny, because He is the Creator of the Universe. :) At 60, perspective changes a bit. Don’t really need to work hard for things, since things are not that important, other than just to have things. Independent for sure. Now it won’t be long before I drink Insure, and am dependent. Ha! Here’s to the next 60! Amen to that.

With a fairly sturdy letter opener, start prying at one corner until you get it all apart. Then, throw it in the trash bin.

I guess it has to come for it to go. About 8 degrees this morning and a sheet of ice from the storm yesterday is going to make driving pretty bad. But I don’t have to drive today. Sharon took the Highlander to work; (hope she remembers to pump the brakes on ice, and not lock them up!). Chevi took the PT Cruiser. Hope she remembers to put gas in the thing. Why do they not see the orange gas pump light on the warning panel? Color blind to Orange?

Cold in here. The heat from the gas heater insert doesn't get all the way back here to the office. Guess I’ll bring down my little oil heater and that will take care of that. Got to watch Kayden today for awhile. She came over yesterday, but her Mother didn’t pay any attention to her at all. I don’t understand how a mother can just walk away from her husband and child. Will try to make a nice Christmas out of it, but I feel for her. Another broken family. Just take off when things get to tough is the way things seem to be today. Well, I prayed and God knows the outcome, so I am not going to push it. Just wait for Him to answer. Think I’ll go back to bed for a bit. I got another hour before she gets here.
